Tip Top’s Lunch Specialty, Pot Roast Sandwich - yeah, I know, my
camera phone suckz
I found myself at The Tip Top on a suggestion of a friend. I hadn’t been to Gay Street to eat since Due Amici. Since it was my first time visiting the Tip Top (or maybe it’s just Tip Top with no article), I went with their lunch special - the Pot Roast Sandwich served with chips. I thought the bold blue plates were great, and the pot roast was equally satisfying. How about those buns that just seem to jump right off the plate at you? You won’t need refills on your drink. They serve up about a half gallon cup of tea to keep you sipping well into the afternoon.

I really like this place. I work right down the street, so I’ve eaten lunch there like 8 million times. The menu has shifted many times since I visited, but I dig most Lessner establishments because of the local focus (they grow veggies on the roof, after all).
