Boca could exist anywhere in the world as a top dining experience. The food is impeccable, and the service is beyond anything I have experienced in the state of Ohio. The menu is based on the prix fixe concept. My second visit to the restaurant, our server was Jeremy. Having ordered just the two course, whereas my husband ordered three, Jeremy had planned on bringing out a sampling of the prosciutto (that I had asked about for my first course, but ended up ordering a sashimi course) during my husband’s second course so that I wouldn’t appear to be a novice sitting without a plate.
However, I had tried my husband’s first course, which was the poached egg over green beans with smoked applewood bacon drizzled with some magic dijon vinagrette and had switched to the three course, anyway. The whole thing then turned into sort of a four course meal in three courses.
On top of it, the main entree that pulled me back to the restaurant was the smoked chicken over mushroom truffle risotto, and I ordered that again on this visit. Because my husband favors ordering different entrees, though he secretly desires mine, when asked by Jeremy, he remarked that his own entree was quite good but that the risotto was “out of this world”. Promptly, Jeremy brought a sampling of the risotto for my husband, extending this to a 4 and half course for the price of three!
Finally, too satisfied to partake in their dessert (which was, again, part of the prix fixe) my husband ordered the creme brulee, and I diverged and had their special dessert champagne. The latter was not really an offering from the dessert menu, but Jeremy graciously substituted this for me without my asking. The story doesn’t end here, he brought my husband a small glass of the champagne to accompany his dessert.
Oh! And the wine we had with our meal was Domaine des Corbillières, Touraine (2006). I am not a huge white wine person, but this was fantastic, and an elegant complement to every course we had. If you are in Cincinnati, try this out and ask for Jeremy. Reservations are recommended, and can be done online. Otherwise, 513.542.2022. Bon appetit!

Here’s my thoughts on New Taco Tao:
“I drove over here after reading about it on the web. It’s a really dirty truck with a really dirty table. Forget it. ”
On the other hand, Taquikin Taqueria y Loncheria Movil, which is actually on Morse Rd, I said:
“Went back tonight for a couple more taco pastors and an order of refried beans. And tried the roasted jalapenos. They weren’t as hot as I imagined. Also had an orange soda. Very good food. Highly recommended!”
