Chicken Gyro combo at The Acropolis
The Acropolis may be the equivalent to Greek fast food. Or, should I say Mediterranean fast food? Nevertheless, The Acropolis has been a staple of mine for quite some time. My mainstay is the chicken gyro combo. I usually get it with lemon chicken soup but the weather has been too hot to stomach hot soup. The combo normally comes with fries and a drink. A fry connoisseur friend of mine loves their fries and frequently comes up from Dublin just to dig in to The Acropolis’ specialty. It must be the seasoning that they add to the fries. Plus, the fries are always hot out of the fryer.
Other favorites of mine include the spinach feta pie, the regular gyro and the rice pudding.
The Acropolis always serves up a reasonably priced meal in a clean environment with friendly staff. It is currently undergoing renovations but still open for business. Expect a much more open and spacious dining area once renovations are complete. Update – renovations are done.

It’s rumored that The Acropolis has a website but I can’t find it. If you know of it, please leave it in the comments. Found it, complete with coupons.

Here’s my thoughts on New Taco Tao:
“I drove over here after reading about it on the web. It’s a really dirty truck with a really dirty table. Forget it. ”
On the other hand, Taquikin Taqueria y Loncheria Movil, which is actually on Morse Rd, I said:
“Went back tonight for a couple more taco pastors and an order of refried beans. And tried the roasted jalapenos. They weren’t as hot as I imagined. Also had an orange soda. Very good food. Highly recommended!”
