Firdous’ Tunisian Chicken
I used to be a Firdous nut when they had their restaurant on High Street just south of campus. Although a little farther south, Firdous is more than worth the extra hike to the North Market. I’ve seen others rate Cafe Istanbul higher than Firdous. I’ll try out Cafe Istanbul if I can bring myself to deal with Disneyland, err, I mean never never land, err, I mean Easton. How can anyone go to eat at Easton? The place screams its artificiality. Oh well, that’s the subject of another post. I’ve been hardpressed to find better Mediterranean cuisine than what Firdous has to offer. Above is pictured one of my standards, Tunisian Chicken. It starts out mild but by the end of the dish, the spiciness is very apparent. Ask for an extra slice of pita to fight the urge to drink a gallon of water. I always end the meal wishing their portions were a bit bigger. Head around the side of the counter to take in their vast assortment of fine desserts.

That’s hilarious. Come to think of it, Easton is just like Downtown Disney. But, I’ll have to disagree with you on eating there. I have in the past, and always enjoyed it.
