Gyro Lovin' at Powell's New Greek Express
Being a fan of the Acropolis, I had to try out the new Greek Express in Powell. I walked into a clean, well lit dining area with plenty of seating and a flat screen tv with working fireplace. The owner was working on this occasion and as always greeted me with a smile. The owner spared no expense in creating a comfortable, homey dining environment. I didn’t even mind watching the new Mickey Mouse show/cartoon while I waited on a friend to arrive (queued up for a younger patron). Luckily, we beat the lunch rush which started to file in soon after our arrival.
Greek Express' Famous Fries
My buddy used to drive from Shawnee Hills to Clintonville just to get these tangy/spicy fries. Boy, these are tasty little morsels! I limited myself to just a few despite the temptation. I’m a big fan of the chicken gyro, the lemon chicken soup and the rice pudding. Oh and the lamb chops are remarkably tasty as well.

“I drove over here after reading about it on the web. It’s a really dirty truck with a really dirty table. Forget it. ”
On the other hand, Taquikin Taqueria y Loncheria Movil, which is actually on Morse Rd, I said:
“Went back tonight for a couple more taco pastors and an order of refried beans. And tried the roasted jalapenos. They weren’t as hot as I imagined. Also had an orange soda. Very good food. Highly recommended!”
