I’ve tried Jack & Benny’s and really don’t get what the fuss is all about. The omelet I had was flat (i.e., not fluffy the way I think a good omelet should be) and not all that tasty - definitely not worth the wait. Having just had a spectacular (albeit way too rich for regular consumption) brunch at Cafe Corner on Sunday, I can’t see myself making a trip back to J&B any time soon.

Thanks for the heads up on Jack & Bennys. I frequently travel High Street. Have never stopped there. A 45 minute wait is a bit long for my taste. After that long of wait one’s judgement on the food may be somewhat clouded.

Sorry, I just borrowed from the sign on their window in the very first picture which reads, “Breakfast served all day.” You probably can’t make it out in the picture. I’ll give it another shot before I pass final judgment. But I had tried it when I first moved to the area some 10 years ago and may have had a similar opinion at the time given my lengthy hiatus in visits.

I love Jack & Benny’s. Always worth the wait.

You might want to note that they’re only open until 3PM though, so “Breakfast served all day” isn’t quite accurate since they don’t do dinner.
