Hoggy’s Prime Rib Sandwich
| I recently went to Hoggy’s over off of Grandview and Fifth Avenues after swearing it off several years ago. My first visit to Hoggy’s left me with the impression of not much food for mucho money. Anyhow, City Barbeque kicked Hoggy’s arse. I went back after receiving an invitation from a friend and since he was buying, I could lift my boycott of Hoggy’s for a day.
We arrived to a cozy bar and elected to eat there. Nothing like sitting down immediately for lunch. I ordered a sweet tea after my friend’s cue and was pleasantly surprised that there was a little bit of the Southland up here in Ohio. We both ordered the prime rib sandy. I added the Greens with a Kick as a side as well as some real horseradish and not that creamy sauce you see above. The prime ribber wasn’t bad. In fact, it was quite tasty in between sniffles and teardrops brought on by the horseradish. I may have to reconsider my Hoggy’s boycott. City BBQ still rocks the house though. |

Here’s my thoughts on New Taco Tao:
“I drove over here after reading about it on the web. It’s a really dirty truck with a really dirty table. Forget it. ”
On the other hand, Taquikin Taqueria y Loncheria Movil, which is actually on Morse Rd, I said:
“Went back tonight for a couple more taco pastors and an order of refried beans. And tried the roasted jalapenos. They weren’t as hot as I imagined. Also had an orange soda. Very good food. Highly recommended!”
