I’m surprised I’ve not yet reviewed a Thai place in Columbus, Ohio. I once set out on a search for the best Paad Thai in Columbus. At that time, I considered The Thai Orchid as the champion. I’d have to set out on another search to verify those results. By the way, is it Phad Thai or Paad Thai? I’ve seen it both ways. Well, at the Thai Cafe I thought I’d try my old favorite, Paad Thai, and I even ordered it with shrimp (as it should be). The problem is – the shrimp either makes or breaks the dish. You never know when you might get some not so fresh shrimp. Verdict – well the noodles were delicious but the shrimp was a little fishy. The shrimp kind of broke the dish this time. A friend ordered a beef dish in the traditional coconut/peanut sauce. That was delicious. I’ll have to give the Thai Cafe another try next time I’m in Cincy to see if I just hit their Paad Thai on an off night.

Here’s my thoughts on New Taco Tao:
“I drove over here after reading about it on the web. It’s a really dirty truck with a really dirty table. Forget it. ”
On the other hand, Taquikin Taqueria y Loncheria Movil, which is actually on Morse Rd, I said:
“Went back tonight for a couple more taco pastors and an order of refried beans. And tried the roasted jalapenos. They weren’t as hot as I imagined. Also had an orange soda. Very good food. Highly recommended!”
