Americans like their salt and Old Bag of Nails aims to please. Looking for a late night dinner, I recently visited the Ol’ Bag of Nails in Worthington, Ohio. I ordered up the blackened grouper sandwich with potato pancakes. My companion had the blackened salmon on a bed of ceasar salad. Maybe it’s something about the concoction they use to “blacken” their fish but it is extremely salty. My companion asked the waiter to take hers back and substitute a broiled salmon filet instead. The waiter eagerly agreed to do this. Upon his return, he remarked that he had tried a piece of the blackened salmon out of curiousity as several other elderly customers had told him the same thing. More specifically, they indicated that they couldn’t eat the stuff for fear of dying. I guess if you drink enough seawater you will die too. Initially disbelieving their complaints, he reported that he was no longer a non-believer as the blackened salmon was “ridiculously salty.” I had the same experience with the blackened grouper sandwich. Maybe the cook heard us, because our order of fries came back to us overdone.

Thanks for the comment but I stand by my review which was based on numerous trips to the Bag. The main post is a combination of 2 reviews which may lead to some confusion but I stand by my statement - way too much salt in their food.
